Default San Diego Weather

I don't remember where I heard it, but I heard on the whole that SD has the best weather in the country. For those of you that live there, is that true and if so what is the weather like on an annual basis?

The weather here in San Diego is very predictable and consistent, for the most part. You don't have to worry about freezing cold temperatures in the winter, and it will never snow. Winter is the only time you'll see a lot of rain here, but we've been having dry winters lately. Summers can get hot, but not as humid as somewhere like Florida.

The only downside is if you like changes in weather than it can get boring here. As for myself growing up in Georgia, I miss those thunderstorms in the summertime.

It'll actually snow in the mountains.

It sucks in my opinion. No seasons. I call it "320 days of spring"
About 62-78 around the coast year-round. Not much rain, doesn't get warm,no crazy weather(good thing)But once again I would like seasons thank you.It took me 19 years for me to see snow in person and that was when I went to Cleveland/Pittsburgh this year.So yeah SD weather like SEAandATL said is boring.

Awesome. I have a severe dislike of winter and the cold. Seasonal affective disorder kicks my butt, gets me all crazed!!! Being a child of the sun, I cannot wait for San Diego and your 320 days of spring. My positive mental attitude is solor powered! When I arrive (in7weeks), if I want snow/cold, I'll be driving to the mountains with the snowboard gear.

and the sun gets down
but like the heart of the sun
my heart continues to pound

Does it rain a lot during any particular time of the year and since you are close to the ocean, are the winters cold?

The weather is perfect year round. Never too cold, never too hot. Hardly ever rains. If you hate the cold and extreme heat, you'll be very happy.

Actually, during the winter is the rainy season which starts from late Nov. to about late March, and the peak months for rainfall are Jan. and Feb.

Beautiful quote! Also wanted to tell you that I understand COMPLETELY whqat are you saying when you speak about SAD. It is so hard to explain to people what it feels like and it happens gradually without you even experiencing it (at least for me). My moods, my energy, my mental power (as you say - LOL!) - IS solar powered. This is not even about snow or ice (although I know that it's an issue too), it is everything about the lack of direct sunlight, enough sunlight, for months in a row. Wishing you much happiness!
