Just sounded to me like you are looking for frugal fun and entertainment not frugal living...

I agree, and she's also posted in the Renter's forum about breaking her lease.

This is my situation (not looking for advice on this right now since I know what I am going to do) but it will probably get moved since it's not on topic:

A. I have a 2nd interview for a job back in LA this Friday. I would break my lease for that job because I would be getting a job I love (hopefully), could live with my family, and make more money.

B. Resign from my job after I have done XXXX amount of days and keep up my lease here in San Diego. Hence, frugal living advice needed.

Continue to track all my posts if you want to collect more info on me and help and/or question me.

What is with all the judgmental remarks? If you don't want to help someone with some friendly advice or have nothing constructive to say, why say anything. Not everyone on here is completely articulate and/or expresses their whole personal situations in their posts sometimes. No one owes you or any of us an explanation for why we would like some help or ideas with something.

Some of you on here seem like you think it is your job to judge or correct everyone you have a reason to suspect an ulterior motive or can find some angle to their posts. Why not just let it be and find a thread you can contribute positively to?

100% agree..

While I don't agree with OP's intention to move out without a proper job lined, up, it seems she's already made here mind up.

Plus, she's 25 - if one were to make such a jump, better do it now then when she has no mortgage and kids to support.

It may in fact turn out to be the best move she makes after all. Or on the other side, even if she makes huge mistakes along the way (who doesn't?), she can learn from them, and keep the silver linings.

In regards to the last 2 posts:

Yes, my mind is made up already to leave my current job with or without a job by the end of January.

I am 25, have no kids, have a pretty good amount of $ in savings to live "modestly" for awhile including paying into my Cobra for health insurance.

Again I listed my Plan A and Plan B on here for those that were interested in my life beyond collecting tips.

If the worst case scenario is B, I would live off of savings in my apartment and hopefully I could find employment in the area.

Plan C- Live here until the end of August when my lease is up and move back in with my parents until I get another job.

While I wish my job was more tolerable, it is not for reasons I am too uncomfortable to talk about on here to address.

Yes, it really is that bad of a situation. When I have had other jobs, I know all about staying until you get another offer and did that. This is not one of those jobs.

All I came here for were tips on how to have fun in San Diego on the cheap.

Good luck with the job....I love San Diego. You do what will make you happy. Life is too short to be stressed and sick at work. I know the feeling all too well.
