How's Chop Sooey?
I don't like anymore Tabe BBQ as not too flavorable. Same with Marisco's German - basic, authentic but not fabulous. I'll have to go up to LA to try Kobi (not Bryant).

Not sure if he qualifies as a truck, but Bubba's Asian BBQ is awesome. He's all over the county, but we eat his stuff on Sundays at the Hillcrest Farmers Market. Best pulled pork tacos ever!

I know people seem to like Miho Gastrotruck, but we hated it. Overpriced and not good at all.

do any of these trucks have websites or facebooks so they can be tracked? Or are they predictably in the same place?

I like a lot of what Dave De Jour does. He's usually in either North Park or Encinitas/Leucadia. Like most food trucks, he tweets his location at davedejour (davedejour) on Twitter and more info at Dave de Jour - Street Food Cardiff by the Sea California, san diego bar hopping, gourmet on the go

Most of them use Twitter to tweet their current location. I have found the trucks in San Diego to be flaky, just like its residents. They say they'll be somewhere, then show up an hour later with a ridiculous excuse. The ones in LA are much more reliable and we found that they actually show up when they say they will. What a concept!

Copper Chimney South Indian food truck. Best Indian food in San Diego right now, seriously. I go pretty much every other week.

I'm also fond of MIHO.

I haven't had a chance to try a lot of the other ones, except Food Junkies (their brisket on a biscuit is delish!)

Oh, yeah, and the Mariscos German food truck in the Gala foods parking lot in South Park is amazing cheap mexican seafood.

Not sure if they will do it again next year, but there was a Foodie Fest in OC this year. 49 of the most popular food trucks were there (1 didn't show) and you could sample items at low prices from each ones. Not full meals, since they expected you to go to multiple ones. If you do go next year, get tickets online since they were sold out when we got there (luckily we bought online) and go early. Some lines were over an hour long (think Nom Nom)!

Copper Chimney is great for the price and there is usually a long line of Indians looking for an authentic taste of home but for some odd reason he's been working odd hours so that you never know if he'll actually be there or not.

You can actually call Allan and ask him where/when he's gonna be. I've found him consistent on Fridays, but I haven't tried him on other days so I can't speak to them.

here's his website, his number's on the bottom left.
