Anyway, the Chargers have a lot of fans. When I go to the Charger games there is just so much pride in the fans for the team. I love it.

The Padres don't seem to have a lot of fans but according to their Facebook page they have over 200,000

Is that 200k out of 3 million (sd) or 200k out of 330 million? (US), or World?
Regardless, it's a pittance.
There were far more Raider fans Sunday than Bolts fans. Sad.

The difference between the San Diego teams and the Dodgers, is the draw and loyalty. As bad as both the Dodgers and Padres were this past season, the Dodger supporters still came out. This is like when we lived in the D.C. area and no matter how the Redskins did everyone loved them. Of course many of the years we were there they had winning teams.

Nita, you make good sense when you are talkin sports [not politics however ]. I was listening to "The Herd"\ Colin Cowherd on ESPN this morning. Cowherd told the San Diego Charger fans to grow-up; if they are not willing to attend games than they are willing to let the Chargers go to Los Angeles. It is noteworthy that both the Lakers and Clippers make big money because they fill up Staples. Same thing with the Dodgers; never an empty seat.

Nobody in LA wants to steal the Chargers but the reality is that pro sports is a business. Also it was mentioned that Charger fans in San Diego will likely come up to Los Angeles to see the team play anyway.

this econmy is in shambles. You living in that pit called los angeles should know how hard hit everyone is from this awful economy. You need to grow up.

I am so sick of how selfish you are! It's always about "the republicans are evil!" "Los Angeles is a siant and deserves everything!"

I am a fairly liberal guy but extreme liberalism makes me so angry. Keep it to yourself.

How would you like San francisco or San Diego to take the Lakers? You wouldn't be acting all hig and mighty like you are now.

You have extreme leftist/communist tendencies who is very selfish and thinks of no one but himself.

Many San Diegan Charger fans have expressed on Charger message boards their disgust for Los Anglese. It's polluted, too much traffic, crime infested. etc. If you think another team will be successful in LA, you are wrong. You've already had 3 NFL teams and they were all failures. LOS ANGELES IS NOTHING BUT FAILURE.

GROW THE HELL UP.

Report me! I don't care about this crappy site any longer. A bunch of people with no lives.

you know what I am so sick of transplants bashing the sports teams. If yoou don't like the sports temas then don't watch them. There are many many Chargers fans. I don't care if you don't believe me. Both of the home games i went to the other fans were drowning in blue and gold.

Also a lot of Charger fans don't want to deal with Raider fans. They're punks always starting fights and stuff.

Will you still like them if they move back to LA? T.J. Simers: Chargers returning to L.A.? - latimes.com (http://www.latimes.com/news/la-sp-1207-simers-20101207,0,3593738.column?track=rss&utm_source=fee dburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+latim es%2Fsports%2Fbasketball%2Fwnba%2Fsparks+%28L.A.+T imes+-+Sparks%29 - broken link)

It's looking more and more like they will. You know what's funny? People born in SD didn't have a football team until we STOLE it from LA. Isn't that ironic? A home coming for the Chargers, back in their old stadium in LA.
I'd rather have 10 dollar seats, cheap beer and replacement players.

WOW! I totally forgot about the Charger coming from LA. I was much younger and a Rams fan, but do remember them being there for a year or two and then the AFL was created; I think that's what happened. I don't remember why they moved to SD, but probably because LA was a Rams town.

LOL they were only in LA for one fricken year. Get over yourself. LA belongs to the Raiders not the Chargers. the Chargers are too nice for a city like LA.

I love the Chargers and they should stay in SD. The LA raider fans aren't even real fans as well as Dodger and Laker fans. They are nothing but low lifes and adopt the logos but if you ask majority of them they can't name a single damn player. Chargers belong in SD and I would be disappointed.

Too nice? I guess you don't read the crime section in the UT? Merriman, Ellison, VJ, Kiel, phillips, Jackson, Seau, Robison. Yep, all arrested. This is only the list of what I can remember and it's a lot longer than that.

NFL players are NOT role models. Stick to wanting to be a Cop.
