I would love to move to San Diego. LA has always been my target area to move to if I could move to California but I had the chance to visit SD in 2009 (for Comic-Con) and thought it was a great city and offered a lot. SD is now in the running for target relocation area if I could make the move to California. I know the city normally isn't as frenzied as it is during Comic-Con but I was able to spend a few days in the city after the convention and I still liked the city's vibe.

Like what has been repeated throughout this thread, COL is such a concern. As someone with a bachelors in social sciences and work history involving data entry, clerical work and for the past few years as an administrative assistant, I'm not sure how I can make a salary in southern California that keeps me out of dire straits.

But I do hope to find a solution one day.

I work for Fedex and live in Wichita, Kansas. Today I was making a delivery inside a 18 story building and was trying to push a dolly full of boxes up the sidewalk in the middle of a blizzard. I was standing straight up with my feet planted and the 50 mph wind gusts was blowing backwards even though my feet were planted. Not to mention I couldn't see more than about 10 feet because of the whiteout conditions. Because of my job I can honestly say that I cannont stay in an area with winters like this anymore. If I can find a decent apartment for around 900 to 1000, I'll be there soon. Otherwise, I'll be headed to Tucson or Austin. I had good reason for leaving Naples, Fl but on days like today I regret it. Yes, San Diegans, I'll gladly admit that I am jealous.
