Also.. does SD have any "Chicago-Style" pizza joints? If I don't get into school over there, I'm opening up a pizza joint...

Chicago style I like Lefty's. New York style I like Luigi's or Bronx. There are many other places I like that don't fit into style. Woodstock, Oggies, Dimilles, Pizza Port, Fillipis. There really is no shortage of pizza in San Diego.

Pizza Port for sure! They are also a highly rated brewery. They also have a location in Carlsbad that I prefer. I don't live in SD but travel and stay in North County frequently. Be prepared to sit at picnic benches with other customers. Great place and great people!

I'll go to either location depending on where I'm at when I'm aimlessly wandering on the PCH. Both are great! Best fish taco at Pelly's Fish Market in Carlsbad. Just thought I'd throw that in.

Pizza Port's beer is great - Pizza is just average.

For New York/New Haven style, which is my preference, Bruno's and the Basic/URBN mini-chain is the best.

Pizza Port pizza is indeed average. Tried the new Biancelli's on India St which is an Hawaiin chain, but I'll not return. I wish NY Giant Pizza remained there.

How's Nude Pizza on 5th avenue in Hillcrest (original location in PB)??
