It is sort of ironic that a species evolves to the point of self-destruction. That is exactly what we are doing and have been doing for the last few thousand years, after the millions of years of evolution that it took to get us to this point. It will be best for the remaining millions of years of our planet, and all the other species on it, once we finish the job by the last two humans killing each other off.
