I've only ever driven through the area around Maya Linda. It looks pretty nice, has some trees and grass landscaping. The buildings are older than mine, so at least 20 years old. I haven't heard any issues with them, though. It's an area that seems to have only multi-family (condo and/or apartment) buildings. If you're buying a converted apartment, it won't necessarily be built up to the same standards as condos - noiseproofing and stuff like that. And the area as a whole is a bit congested for my tastes. I'm guessing you'll have a fair proportion of Mira Mesa College students living in that area.

I wouldn't want to live in Paradise Hills. Mira Mesa is the lesser of two evils.

first, thanks a lot.
basically, i am looking foward to use the condo/house as rental property in the future.
mira mesa is the better area than paradise hill, but the house locate at the quiet area in paradise.
for the crime rate, mira mesa have more thievies and paradise hill has more rubery and others.
for public school score, mira mesa are around 850 and PH are around 780.
this is really give me lots of headach.......
