Well you might be somewhat accurate about sd depending on where you come from. I moved from the SF Bay Area and Sacramento. SD is way ahead on the fashion scale in comparison to Nothern Ca.. If your from places outide of ca. especially the east coast, then yes sd could use a little polishing. One thing I can tell you we're not to shabby on, average fitness. Definitely not as many porkster chubbies in comparison to a lot of other big cities around the nation. I'll take a fit wearing jeans/flips and tshirt person over the fashion piggy with an auttitude any day! It's beach culture, isnt that what the attraction is?

Everytime we've visited CA, it's been a lot hotter than 75. We usually come the end of July. A few years ago, we were there during a heat wave.

Default 79 degrees F today in San Diego County; Bosall!

Can you belive it? 79 degrees on January 13, 2012 in Bonsall, CA. Bonsall is 12 miles inland from the Pacific Ocean and about 38 miles north of downtown San Diego. The skys are blue and the wind is calm. What happened to winter?

We did have clients come in maybe twice a week, but even then he didn't think it was necessary to dress up. When I knew we were having more formal meetings, I did throw on the occasional suit, however, I always felt claustrophobic.
That's makes sense then. I could see how a small office like yours could be that casual. I'm in commercial real estate, and while I don't have to wear a tie to work, there are plenty of people in the biz that do.

I totally agree, people in the PNW are the sloppiest dressers in the country.

Not even close, nice try though. See, I have been all over San Diego, the trashosity is present all over the place.

I actually liked this aspect of SD........people walking around in dumpy casual.

True story! When I was 7 months pregnant (last year), I decided to check out the maternity clothing store in the Fashion Valley Mall. They didn't carry anything over a size MEDIUM! In a freaking MATERNITY store! I was like, umm ok. You're not allowed to weigh over 140 lbs when you're in your third trimester. Obviously vanity and fashion rules there, even for the massively pregnant. The only thing there that "fit" was a $160 diaper bag.
