I'm planning a move to San Diego within the next two months and I wanted to hear some feedback on some good areas within San Diego to settle in.

I'm 22 and graduating in a few weeks with an engineering degree. I pretty much busted my ass the last set of years, and I want to let loose now.

With that said, I'm looking for the college party scene. I'm debating whether to live near SDSU or live in area where all the SDSU girls go to drink and dance.

I've studied at Georgia Tech in Atlanta, and I'm use to more conservative girls here. Some feedback on what to expect on San Diego women is also appreciated.

Are you looking to rent or buy a place here in San Diego?

The job is in Poway, CA as a Software Engineer. I was looking at apartments in Pacific Beach and found some in the $950 to $1100 range.

lol you say that with sarcasm. I'm use to an hour drive to work. Atlanta traffic is pretty bad. What normally takes a 15 min drive on weekends takes about an hour during the week.

@bnewms87 do you go to Tech?

Also, maybe I should rephrase my question. Where do all the SDSU girls hang out at if not on campus.

PB, I guess? The commute would kill you. Just live in Poway and hit up the SDSU haunts on the weekend. =)

I lived next to an SDSU sorority house for 2 yrs, and if you're a working stiff.. you won't appreciate the noise if you have to get up in the morning (then again, maybe you will!)

Google maps may say ~30 mins, but I'd at least double or triple that during rush hour. Anything related to the I-15 is especially heinous. I did the commute for about a semester (Rancho Penasquitos to downtown) before I said f-it, and moved closer to school.

As for how SD girls are, my experiences are that they're pretty much laid back and easy to talk to. As long as you don't act like a douche (aka put up a front), most are pretty friendly and will give you the time of day. Plenty of stunners.
