I like Whole Foods ethics but detest their profiteering. There are just too many better choices price wise for me to bother with Whole Paycheck.

If you're near a Henry's, try them. Seems to have lots of really good stuff, and much more reasonable prices. I agree that WF is way over-priced.

I think they will do well there, snuggled between Del mar and Solana Beach. The Encinitas location is so darn hard to even get to and parking is a real issue.

How can you say this? It's not even open yet. And they built a parking garage for it. Let's let the thing be open for a weekend at least before we lament how bad parking is and how hard it is to get to.

It opens this weekend, and I'm not saying parking won't be a nightmare (particularly in summer when half of the state of Arizona apparently relocates to Encinitas), but to say so before it's even open struck me as strange.
In the brilliant marketing dept, every house in our neighborhood came home today to a reusable WF bag stuffed with goodies. They know how to woo the locals!

Apparently that was only for those immediately west of I-5.
