Smile Where are scenic places in Carlsbad?

I'm taking a group of students to get prom pictures. I considered the flower fields, but you have to pay 10 bucks to get in. Any suggestions?

first thing that popped into my head is the koi pond/park next to palomar airport (palomar airport rd & camino vida roble)

Other Suggestions:
Leo Carrillo Ranch (personal favorite)
Quail Gardens in Encinitas- nice foliage
Double Peak Park in San Marcos/San Elijo- amazing views

Default Where are scenic places in Carlsbad?

Carlsbad Caverns National Park is very scenic and it has very impressive cave systems to see.

The Leo Carillo Ranch is a great call! A slice of real, old California right in the middle of suburbia. Of course, when in doubt, there's always the beach.

Too bad it's several thousand miles away.

Well, technically water vapor is a greenhouse gas.

Carlsbad residents do need to get over it though.

Yes. What does the plant connect to the stack generate? Those 'get rid of the La Jolla seals' yahoos should place their energies on getting rid of that eye sore whatever it emits. What is your point? That b/c it doesn't emit CO2, it looks neat-o adjacent to the sea shore? (yourself) harder.

Grew up in a town where the stacks were kind of a beloved part of the landscape... Encinas always reminds me of it.
