Default Where to live in SD area for 1400 max/month rent?

Hi everyone,

My wife and I are currently living in downtown San Diego but we expect to move because of high prices in the downtown area.

We are willing to put 1400/1500 in rent maximum for a 2bedroom condo, in good condition. We are willing to live anywhere in the greater SD area, in a relatively safe and quiet area (family or newly weds).

I looked a little already and it seems like Rancho Penasquitos and Rancho Bernardo have a good selection matching this criteria. Are there any other places?

I work in Sorrento Valley but I may also have the option to work in Rancho Bernardo so we're pretty flexible.

Thanks a lot for your help.

Sounds like Mira Mesa would be the best option in my book.
