Default San Diego Community events

I am looking for a good website (or paper) for free or low cost events such as food fests, concerts, cultural or ethnic festivals, art walks and so on.
We have had a lot of fun exploring since we moved here but now are looking to find things to help us really get to know the communities around SD. Any resources?

Try the Uptown News. I find it at the liquor store across the street from me sometimes, but you can also read it online. You can also google Gaslamp events with Gaslamp Quarter - San Diego, CA 92101 - A National Historic District and Entertainment Destination, and others by googling San Diego events. The Jazz Festival in the Gaslamp is on May 21, the Adams Avenue Roots Music Festival was just held two weekends ago, and tomorrow is the North Park Spring Faire.

I normally work at a lot of events, so I try to find them in advance.

This is actaully pretty decent. Actually has all kinds of events over the County. San Diego Events, SD Harbor, Gaslamp Event & Party | NBC San Diego

As far as local events. I havent seen too much new stuff over the past several years. Little Italy is a good place to start and Liberty Station is starting to get some stuff as well.
As moved mentioned, if you go to the neighborhood websites, they typically list all kinds of events happening. Just google each neighborhood to find the respective URL.

The San Diego Reader lists loads of events, many of which are free. But you have to hunt amongst them all to find the free ones.

Try keepupsandiego.com, they also have a facebook page that gives you updates of things that are going on throughout the week as well. Some are free events. Hope this helps
