Hello, I will be attending a workshop at the Marina Village Conference Center. Is it absolutely essential that I rent a car, or will I be able to stay in a hotel and take a cab for a reasonable price? I'm assuming that public transit is not an option to this area. Does anyone have recommendations for hotels under $100/night? Thanks.

Where will you be staying? You can get to Marina Village on public transportation, a car isn't necessary, it's right by Sea World. If you stay at a motel in Old Town, you'll only have to take one bus, but from any other area, you'll have to transfer. You'd be taking either the #8 or #9 bus from Old Town.

Thanks for your response. I wanted to pick a hotel/motel that would allow me easy cab or public transit to Marina Village. Staying in Old Town sounds like a good idea. I knew the bus went by Sea World, but did not realize there was a stop walking distance from the Conference Center. Thanks again.
