Default If you live in the Rolando area...

an awesome new deli/fish market is coming any day now! This is one of our favorite vendors at the Hillcrest farmers markets and he finally is opening up a store, right on El Cajon Blvd! It won't be long before BMH is out of business, since they don't make any of their products and this guy even makes his buffalo mozzarella, which btw is to die for! Fresh pasta, fresh cheese and fish (and many, many other things)...what more could you ask for?

Nice post MAK! The fish guy that offers the samples of his salmon/fish dips with the little blue coolers on the table? THat would be really cool if they opened a store on ECB.

BMH is going under you think? I wasnt too impressed with the sandwich I got and he didnt even use Boars Head from what I remember. He did have Wise chips, Ronzoni and Drakes cakes though

This guy has pastas, cheeses, olives, dips/sauces and various pastries at the farmers markets. It's usually a really big tent. I've never seen him have fish at the market, so I'm glad to hear he's bringing it here. He has a FB page, so you can see pics from the markets there.

Yea, we weren't too impressed with BMH either. $16 for 2 sandwiches that had 4 pieces of salami each, huge rip off if you ask me! And we bought their mozzarella, but it came pre-pacakaged and had no flavor. They are no match for this place!

So, at the risk of being slow witted . . . what is the name of this new market?

I wondered too, but didn't want to be the first to ask...

The link is above, Lisko Artisan Deli and fish market. BMH is an Italian Deli in La Mesa, just down the street from where this place will be opening.

Not yet, but only because I ate it all in the form of daily Caprese salads! They should be opening hopefully in the next week, so we plan on getting more and making grill pizza with the mozzarella/basil...a bit simpler than our last one which was buffalo chicken!

Thanks for the heads up, has this place opened yet? I'm glad to see more places opening in East San Diego, aside from the great ethnic places. Went to Terra recently with some foodies recently and we all enjoyed our meals. Pubcakes down the street is cool, too. Seriously, how can one not like beer infused cupcakes? San Diego Desserts is good, too.
