I know someone who walks up to to the top of Mt. Helix, but I'm not sure where they start from. It can be done though and it would be a fairly long walk.

Because I'm interested in Mt. Soledad and Mt. Helix.

Cowles is on the list, too, but right now I want paved roads.

Fair enough. I'm in the Mt. Soledad area often and occasionally I'll see a person walking up Via Capri. It's pretty steep, and gets even steeper when you get closer to the top. Definitely let us know how you do when you conquer it!
