Zipcar pulled out of San Diego which sucks; they are not available in every neighborhood now just at UCSD. Very useful in NYC though

whats huge about the car2go is you don't have to return it to where you picked it up. You just leave it where ever (legally parked of course)...as long as it is in the "zone" (edit-but near a plug of some sort?) Most hourly car services require you to return it somewhere specific.

That's too bad, San Diego needs something like that. Before I had my car, I used to have to rent one every month to do a large grocery shopping.

We've never failed to find a parking space in the Belmont Park parking lot, or the one across the street from it. (Though, we don't go to the beach on the holiday weekends when everyone in southern California and all of Arizona are trying to go to the beach. )
