When you're here, you'll have to head south to Mexico, the greatest place on earth. Living in San Diego is not making the most of your stay, until you experience the Mexican culture. BTW, Taco Trucks are the best Mexican food, about 10X better than your local Mexican Sombrero Take Out. You'll learn, always remember that once you think you have tasted good Mexican food, there's always something better, ecspecially in Tijuana, awesome Mexican food.

Ugh..you guys are offering Chula juana and Imperial Beach? Man...if you are moving to the naval area, try to find a place in Point Loma, maybe Ocean Beach. DO NOT go south of the 8 freeway and try to stay west of the 5 freeway.

Point Loma is South of the 8 Freeway. So is Coronado, La Mesa, Mission Hills, Hillcrest, Downtown SD, Kensington, Balboa Park.

Some of the best neighborhoods in San Diego are south of the 8 freeway.

Man, this is funny. In addition to what Sass posted, when we are trying to stay west of the 5, fairly close to the base, wouldn't we be possibly talking about Imperial Beach? Good Grief...

The Ocean Beach and Point Loma peak hour drive time wouldn't be nice. They both have beautiful rentals available, but the cost to be away from the airport traffic pattern in Point Loma and away from spring break central in Ocean Beach may be high.
