Coming to S.D. this Sunday-Thursday for a conference.

I am staying at the Hilton in Mission Bay. I am interested in the nightlife.

Any recommendations??? I am open to anything. Nighclubs, dancing, live music, laid back dive bars, etc...

Depends on your age. . . Pacific Beach is full of dive bars (Liar's Club is great), restaurants, shops if you're in your 20's also Gaslamp in downtown has lots of live music (House of Blues, Casbah , 4th and B), great eats and bars. Check out the Altitude Sky Bar atop the Mariott Gaslamp. . .great view of the city from 22 stories- - - Also La Jolla, which is much more upscale (Jack's in La Jolla ) Have fun

How old are you? If you want a younger, college-type, more laid back vibe just go to Garnet Ave. in Pacific Beach - the whole street is lined with bars, most bars are on the western end of Garnet near the beach.

If you are older and looking for a more "professional" crowd, go to the gaslamp downtown, that's where all the "clubs" are. It's more expensive to drink and party there I think though.

You'll be closest to Pacific Beach. All the bars are mainly on Garnet. This is a popular hot-spot for college kids and military. You can just walk this street and find a good place to go.
