Hey all,

My parents are considering moving out here from Texas to be around our family. They are looking at retirement communities, they are looking at "the colony" in Murietta, and potentially other 55+ communities.

Anyone here have any other suggestions or reccomendations, or warnings about any local retirement communities with lots of ammenities?

I remember this community from way back: Welcome to Leisure World - Seal Beach!

Probably the most famous one in So Cal.

There are a few in Oceanside. Oceana is the name of one. The other two are fairly close to each other but cant remember their names.

Murietta is in Riverside County so if you havent, might want to post this question in that forum.

Hey guys,

I should have mentioned, I live in Serra Mesa, Central San Diego and will probably only move as far north as encinitas if that, so I'm looking more in this area.

I think there is a place in Rancho bernardo too. anyone know anything about it?

they are checking all the regular sources but I ususally get good info on this board so Im just taking a shot at it here.

There are some over 55 places in La Mesa!
La Mesa has a pretty big retirement community and caters a lot of actives towards it.
