Ketchikan has about 8, 000 people living there, San Diego has 1.3 mil just in the city. Do the math.
K, but a girl who has to shave her moustache daily just isn't gonna work for me.

Well, I did google "Man Diego," and all I found was an UrbanDictionary.com definition stating, "Despite having beautiful weather and beaches it has very Asexual overtones due to its extremely conservative nature and dispropotionate number of males to females. The male to female ratio currently hovers at about 7 to 1." (Urban Dictionary: Man Diego)

Well, I pulled up the official 2010 Census figures and discovered that females comprise 49.5% of the population of San Diego city (San Diego (city) QuickFacts from the US Census Bureau) and 49.8% of San Diego County (San Diego County QuickFacts from the US Census Bureau).

So, can someone explain the phenomenon of "Man Diego"? Is the non-resident male military population so vast as to be no match for the city's 1,307,402 residents or the county's 3,095,313? Are all the "Man Diegans" hanging out in the wrong places? Do most of the women avoid bars, favoring other types of activities? What gives?
When I first moved here I didn't think there were any single, dating age females at all. It was as if those stats near 50-50 meant everyone was married. Instead it's just because the single women are concentrated in certain parts of the City near either the beach or schools.

Definition of "bro" from UrbanDictionary.com:

Quote:
Obnoxious partying males who are often seen at college parties. When they aren’t making an ass of themselves they usually just stand around holding a red plastic cup waiting for something exciting to happen so they can scream something that demonstrates how much they enjoy partying. Nearly everyone in a fraternity is a bro but there are also many bros who are not in a fraternity. They often wear a rugby shirt and a baseball cap. It is not uncommon for them to have spiked hair with frosted tips.
Urban Dictionary: bro

How much of this riff-raff is out and about at night?

I've never even heard of that term here. The college ratio is women over men like crazy.
by the way, "Bro's" are what we call the dumb guys with lifted trucks, who drink four loko, and drive to the desert to race to get drunk and race their four-wheelers.
Maybe they refer to Man-Diego because of a large military scene and they are almost always at bars and clubs?
