have a trip coming which is a weekday departure around 11am.. don't want to ask Mrs to take half day off just to drive me to the airport (we live in carlsbad btw). supershuttle seems to be cheaper than taxi, but I'm not sure whether they are punctual. That is, if I book a 9:00 pickup time, will they show up at 9 or I should expect 30 minute buffer?

also, if it's a shared ride, does that mean they might go somewhere else to pick up other ppl?

any input will be appreciated..

Expect a buffer, but probably not as much as 30 minutes. Ask them to phone you when they're near to your place.

And yes, if it's a shared ride they they might go somewhere else to pick up other people. They'll want to aim at getting you to the airport two hours before your flight, in part because they may have side-trips on the way to the airport.

You could take the Coaster to the 992 flyer bus across the street from the Santa Fe Depot at One America Plaza.
