Whats your feelings on super bowl 43 and Santaino Holmes ripping your heart out at the end?
If you want to pat yourself on the back for 2001 world series,Go for it!
You guys played against a already defeated and very tired(September 11th)Yankees teams.

It's like someone beating up the school yard bully, then you going up to kick/hit the bully while he's on his back.
Doesn't count!
Not sure why you are defensive. I've lived in PHX for 3 months and do not have any rooting interests since I am a lifelong NYer until this past January.

The purpose of my post was to compliment your area and get your perspectives on your 3 deepest playoff runs. I rooted hard for your 1984 team with some of the ex Yanks like Nettles and Gossage. I actually have had a soft spot for the Padres for all these years because I thought those Taco jerseys were awesome back in the day. I wish you kept them as the late 80's Brown and Orange uniforms and Caps were bland. Didn't help that the team's fortunes went south along with those uniforms.

I believe the Padres gave up on Bochy unjustifiably. It's unfortunate that the Pads are in a bad spot now with not having the payroll or prospects that the brass was willing to invest in not too long ago.
