If you can't make it on 100k then you must have money management problems.

You shouldn't have trouble at 3:30p (or after 6:30pm) going from SV to MV.

Thanks to all, some good areas to look at. I'd heard Mira Mesa Blvd is a prob, and of course the office is just off it in the middle(!), so I'll definately be looking at some creative start/finish timing. I'm used to that, was hoping for less commuting for this job, but I'd prefer the place we live in to be more interesting so I'll keep up the 45minute commute!

I'm glad to hear the transport etc in closer is good, and there'll be lots to explore I'm sure!
