If Filner moved to the Clinton/Obama center (eg, pensions-->401K, un-blind loyalty to unions), that would be much better. I liked his MLK Jr Freedom Marching days, but get with it now. Carl is no good.

Carl is just too strident- I can't imagine city gov't being any thing more than a constant biatch session with him. Sure reforms are needed, tough decisions need to be made, but you don't have to be lashing out at everybody like this is your chance to get back at being bullied in school or whatever it is that drives him.

Yeah the city council members don't even like him. You should have seen Donna Frye ripping on him the other night LOL

"the" Donna Frye who suggested using detectives to find out who was moving trashcans away from the curb so the students could park at Mesa College?

That was funny. She was all over it. lol

She really seemed to 'fight' for her district, no question. Definitely one of the better ones.

Well, as a representative of a City you can't have someone with random mind purges that make yourself look like you took too much lsd back in the day.

10News Poll: Filner, DeMaio In Statistical Dead Heat - San Diego News Story - KGTV San Diego

Glad to hear it. For the well being of the city, DeMaio is a nightmare.

Carl DeMonic will ruin countless lives in the city. Hell, he's too spineless to take a stand on his own lifestyle let alone take a stand on the needs of the a city.. Outside of the Pension reform he brings nothing to the table. His contract reform BS is a major conflict of interest. He coaches the private sector on how to win Municipal jobs. A little bit too much of an insiders edge for me.

I wanted to give an update since it is so close to the election. Channel 10 news just had a story that Filner is leading over Demaio with 47 percent over Demaio's 41 percent. But there are 12 percent of voters that are undecided and Demaio is running ads to try to appeal to them. I think Filner is a better choice than Demaio but I still wish Fletcher was in the race. He would get my vote.

Filner seems a little slimy, but Demaio is a snake. I'd vote for the slime over the snake - no question. At least Filner's been around forever. Everybody knows what they're getting with him.
