I moved to Ob about a month ago and it's been a dream come true for the most part. Love everything about this neighborhood except for the damn parrots squawking at the crack of dawn! Lol. The first time I heard them I thought it was a dying seagull. I looked up the number for the spca and ran outside only to be told by a neighbor about the parrots. Anyone else deal with this? Craziness!

They migrate east during the day and back home to OB at sunset. I don't know what they do during their day east? Daycation at Sycuan? They sometimes stop in MH in the morning on their way east for a nosh esp. in ~March-May. I like them.

Love the parrots. We live over in El Cerrito near SDSU and see them almost everyday. They crack me up

Had a great gray heron pass by lowly overhead in hood the other day. Cool, along with the frequent neighborhood Phoebes, Hummers, Hawks. The crows are not so cool, along with the pooping gulls at Petco.

I'd be more concerned about the pirates to whom the parrots belong, for where there are parrots, pirates are never far behind.

We don't need those movie pirates - we got a pirate ship of our own!

HMS Surprise

I wonder if we could persuade the parrots to hang around the pirate ship and pose for pics with the tourists ...

That already happens somewhat at Seaport Village.
