Yeah for many reasons, I'm 100% home on OB, marine layer and all. But downtown is near perfect good balance of sun and cool temps for me. We actually had to rule out north park in our home search because it got a little warm for us ( luckily spouse and I are hardwired in a similar manner) but for sun lovers who like still reasonable temps, there are many areas ie North Park that have good sunny temp balances.

I could never live near the water, I'm too cold blooded. I like it warm, and loved Tucson in the summer, but my friends thought I was nuts. They didn't understand the dry heat. I thought 116 degrees with 20% humidity was wonderful, after living in the DC area most of my life.

It didn't take long before I started complaining about 90 degrees with low humidity. I think it was 92 and the heat index was 86 degrees because it was so dry. That would be a nice summer day in DC. I hated it.
