I'm going to miss my 2 mile commute up to Johnson Ave. though for sure LOL.
Two miles is no commute, it is a morning walk.

I started a new job this week, so instead of going from Poway to Sorrento Mesa (15+ miles, all traffic), I go from Poway to RB -- about 3.5 miles (little traffic). So close that I can ride my scooter home for lunch.

Thanks, it is going good so far.

I used to work there about 15 years ago and still know some people that stayed.

The 52 commute has sucked since it was extended to the 67. Now folks from Lakeside or NW El Cajon are taking it instead of the 8.

Idk I think the 52 has always sucked I remember many many years ago when I was right around 7 years old. My parents only had 1 car so I had to ride along for the daily commutes to drop my father off at work so my mom can use the truck for work. I recall a painful hour or so in the backseat (not even a 60 lb kid can stay comfy in those little ford ranger back seats yuck) every afternoon as we crawled home to el cajon from Kearny villa rd. It just amazes me that nearly 20 years later, this problem has not been addressed at all. Some of these freeways here are developed for a much smaller volume of traffic than they get. Heck the 78(getting fixed I see) 67, 52 and 8 between El cajon and Alpine remind of of the highways when I lived in Biloxi, Ms and the entire ms coast metro area (land area similar to sd county) has less than 350k people. What is the deal caltrans?!?

8/15 is much better than 52/125. The only really bad part is the AM 8>15 transition ramp, it can get pretty backed up. But once you get on the freeway it moves. You will hit some traffic through El Cajon as well and it can be bad in the PM but mostly it's due to wrecking. I did College Area to Scripps Ranch & Poway for a few years, it was pretty easy, certainly compared to the 805->5 UTC nightmare.

It's the same in every big City. They never plan, or cannot plan due to funding, for the doubling of the population. Think LA, SD is not far behind.

Totally I just think our highways / roads here in Cali in general get much less maintenance in most state. Our roads are beat to hell lol.
