Yep, just spray it on, and it's gone! I stocked up on it when I lived in the DC area. I used to keep cans of de-icer spray, cans of dri-gas, miniature snow shovels, snow brushes, and ice scrapers in my apartment, the car, and my desk at work. You don't want to be caught in an ice storm without it!

I remember throwing my ice scraper out in the trash in a rest stop in GA in 1989 on my way to SW FL from DC. I vowed never again. Then 14 years later, I moved to Cleveland for 8 years and was very fully refamiliarized with ice removal. Now here in SD, {insert Scarlett O'Hara voice} .."with God as my witness, I will never scrape ice again!" or something like that. I live and work coastal, so far so good, although I dragged some potted citrus and pepper plants under the porch last night, just to be safe!

I'm just up the hill and had one thermometer at 30 and the one in my truck at 29 when I first got in.

I used to have a block heater on in CO so never had to worry about ice. A 60 second warm up and it shucked the ice right off in anything but below zero I remember weeks where the high was in the negatives

I think your weather app or computer must be set on somewhere inland, as it was 44 or so on my sunrise beach walk...although I think it dipped to 41 at sometime after sun up. Either way it was not freezing thankfully!

If it's in the 20's where you're at then you don't live in SD.

I think you're correct. My weather app says the weather station is Mission Bay HS (high school), but zip 92126 is Mira Mesa. I think the 32F was probably Mira Mesa's weather, and not Mission Bay.
