Pho Hoa in City Heights on El Cajon BLVd is my favorite. The restuarant looks like an old dance hall but its the best beef only pho in town.

Ramen is a bit harder as there are fewer places and it is more subjective as there are several different styles of ramen. Personally, I like Santouka Ramen even though it is a chain simply because it is close to my house. I've heard of a couple down in the university area but when I want ramen I can't be bothered to drive so far. I don't have a favorate Korean place largely because they all seem the same to me though maybe I just haven't been looking closely or been going with the right people or something. Just drive down Convoy and pick one.
