Ethnic Neighborhoods
I would like to know if there are ethnic neighborhoods such as a "Little Italy," "Chinatown," etc. Are these places where one can go to enjoy a dinner? Also, are there any Puerto Rican restaurants/grocery stores?
Thanks!

While we do have a Little Italy, it can't be compared to what you would find in NYC or any other East Coast city. You will, however, find restaurants, markets, deli's and may even see and hear older Italian men hanging out and speaking in their native tongue. It's along India Street in downtown San Diego.
Another ethnic area to check out is Kearny Mesa, mainly along Convoy St. Lots of Asian markets, restaurants and shops can be found in many of the strip malls that line the street. I'm talking Vietnamese, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, etc. I love it!! Dim Sum at Jasmine on the weekend is like being in Hong Kong - huge, hectic, loud. Check out the boba tea and yogurt shops, Marukai (a Japanese version of a 99 Cent Store), 99 Ranch Market, Mitsuwa Marketplace, to name a few.
Lots of Filipino restaurants and businesses along Plaza Blvd in National City. There's an Indian Shopping Center off of Miramar Road that is full of restaurants, businesses and markets as well.
I have no info on Puerto Rican businesses.
Hope this helps.

Mira Mesa is also a good place to find Filipino restaurants and businesses.

Ethnic Neighborhoods
Thanks! During my temporary stay in the San Diego area, I will visit those places. I really enjoy experiencing cultures other than my own.
