last year i wanted to eat more green leaf lettuce but for w/e reason the lettuce in grocery stores i go to are always soft and flimsy. this entire year whenever i get groceries the lettuce has never been thick, firm, dark green.

never looks like that. even when i get packaged lettuce its the same thing. today i finally was able to get something relatively fresh but still kinda soft. i live in east county, dunno if they been having a lettuce problem.

I am pretty sure the deliveries are irrespective of your location, especially produce. Many of these trailers have stops all along the way from coast to inland and have routes tied to freeways and locale more so than zip code. So being in East County shouldnt really play that big of a role IMHO. At least from the local Sprouts manager I have talked in my hood, depending on the product can go from the Pt Loma location to El Cajon.

There is a good chance suppliers have changed but I find that odd, they are all showing up like that in all the stores. Have you noticed the other greens? Are they like this as well? Might want to talk to the store manager respectively.

Have you solved your bacon issue yet as well?

Maybe Peter Rabbit is.
Another nominee for wackiest post of the year. What were the other wacka-doodle ones this year? I recall the latina girlfriend billboard guy, the chemtrail conspiracy, and ms. matzah's travails.

anyway dont be a troll and hijack my thread, unless thats what you do for a living..

when there's maybe 2 batches of lettuce left it would be common for them to be soft and flimsy. but not when they re-stock. and this is everywhere i go. other veggies i get are good for the most part - tomatoes, onions, chilis, broccoli, caauliflower. but for w/e reason these stores cant stock fresh lettuce? i wish i was making this up
