The Imperial Valley is an extension of the Sea of Cortez Rift Valley. In California it runs from Calexico through El Centro, the Salton Sea, up through Indio and Palm Springs.

In several million years it could end up connecting with Death Valley, on it's way towards creating the Island of California as the rest of North America inevitably sinks into the ocean.

El centro is a dump - They opened a new Fairfield out there in Feb and its filled with bugs. El Centro should be reclaimed by Mexico considering spanish tends to be the foremost spoken language in town.

Salton Sea is drying up and is polluted. All the creeks in the valley are bone dry. Its a desolate place.

Not to sound foul but you could have google maped it or use wiki.
It's just East of the county and west of the ARZ state line.
Hope that helps?
