RSF is kind of a bad example for the exact reason you're thinking... it's a separate town from SD (I thought many of those places in LA were still technically in the city of LA), very, very small population (don't know exactly how many), and all sorts of those characteristics that tilt the skew. As I was Google searching for an answer, I read on some site (Forbes I think?) that places like Beverly Hills didn't make the list because while it may seem glitsy and glamorous, some of the homes are at a pretty modest price.

Hahahah, I'm sorry...but just about every San Diegan knows that. I drive through Rancho Santa Fe all the time on my way to work....so I'm fully aware of it's location and that all the homes are hidden in the privacy of trees...
