To all the parents out there, here's my question. How did it work out for you. We live in Clairemont. Home school is Whitman. We plan to choice my son into a school in UTC (most likely Doyle as first choice due to location/convenience for when I return to work at UCSD) I read though the brochure and tried to talk to the office but basically my questions aren't really answered. I honk that Whitman is a PI school so it give me an option to choose another school. Also, I was told there are only 3 choices no matter if they are magnet, regular or charter. We do not plan to move or anything and it wouldn't be the end of the world if he didn't get into the school but I know neighbor who Seemed to have no problem. What's your take?

The Choice system goes by space available. After the students in their area have been enrolled, the office (enrollment clerk) will see how many spaces are left in each grade for Choice students.

I know how it works in general. I did something similar when I was in school, but just wanted to see how it worked out for other parents.
