Room / Suite Listings & Amenities, Balboa Park Inn Bed & Breakfast, San Diego 92103

The wife and I stayed at the Balboa Park In once for a staycation. Its by the Zoo and Balboa Park so not too far from the airport. They were nice themed rooms, it was slow season when we went so the front desk gave us a key card to view several of the unoccupied rooms for an hour. The rooms were VERY interesting and some of the smaller ones are around $100 dlls. Check out the jungle book room and the Orient Express. :-) Oooo lala.

Best Western Plus on Shelter Island.

I recommend the marina view side vs bay view simply because bay view overlooks the parking lot, a street, and another parking lot.

Cheap. Clean. Few minutes to downtown.

How is the area at I-8, Hotel Circle where the Motel 6 is? I'll be visiting San Diego next weekend. I usually stay at Motel 6 because I travel with a dog, and we need an inexpensive place near Fiesta Island.

Mission Valley Hotel Circle is a good place for tourists on budgets and its right on the freeway. Walking wise there is not much to do around there so you will have to drive everywhere, but the beach, downtown, Old Town, Presidio Park, Sea World are all under 5 minutes drive away from the hotel.

Actually, I just remembered there is a that San Diego River bike path/walk way behind the hotel that starts around the baseball diamonds and leads to the beach. Its not close at all from the beach walking wise, but if you want to take your dog for a walk..../

Awesome!

We plan to spend a day at the dog beach on Fiesta Island. I just hope the weather cooperates. Looks like it might be unusually cool next weekend, going by the extended forecast I saw. Hopefully not too cold for him to go in the water.
