Stay frosty. =)
First morning I haven't been able to enjoy a quiet, AC-and fanless respite before closing up the house and turning everything back on. Usually I have at least an hour to enjoy the (relative) coolness of the morning before the constant white noise starts up again. Oh well, this portable AC has literally saved my life this summer since I'm stuck at home so much with the chemo stuff, so I guess I shouldn't complain

Yeah. When I left the house this morning at 7:20 AM it was already 85 degrees and felt hotter and stickier than yesterday morning. Forecast here is for a high of 91 today. Tomorrow, high of 80. Looking forward to tomorrow ...

There is yet another developing hurricane off Mexico below Baja. It may or may not effect us next week. That's 3 in a row. Seems unusual. There hasn't been any significant hurricanes in the Atlantic lately.

Anyone here affected by power outages yesterday?

I feel bad for those without AC and then those without power last night to even run a fan to cut through the suffocating humidity.

Not me, thank God. Its hot in my house but the fans make it tolerable. Everyone (the men) in the neighborhood are walking around without a shirt on it seems. I've been eating dinner outside since its cooler than in the house

The water is warm. Tropical depressions form in the equatorial waters every year but peter out as they move north over cooler waters. This year the water in the eastern Pacific is quite warm, which allows then to develop into tropical storms and named hurricanes instead of disappearing. Warm oceans are basically the fuel source for hurricanes.

Not me but there were power outages in my neighborhood. We are on three different grids and it seemed to the the part of the neighborhood to the southeast that was affected. Power for them came back on around 6 PM.
