Was that in Euros?

I kind of like living around a bunch Baby Boomers and retirees. After talking to one of my neighbor about the problems I was going though at my old job, He Recommended me a place he use to work, made a phone call and got me hired
I wouldn't of never got that far if just brush him off when he ask me, what I did for a living
Answering that question got me an extra 10k a year with union benefits and some sanity
True story!
So true and good for you. And this is pretty much how many things work. If somebody hides everything about themselves or never really communicate about anything besides "the weather is nice today" they really don't have true relationships. And there would never be a "yeah so and so is looking for somebody like you" kind of conversations. And that could mean jobs, love, friends, etc. Communities are kind of based on knowing one another, they aren't based on fake conversations about the weather.

I agree 100%. Cali is a city in Colombia, not a US state. However I am seeing this more and more on the CD forums.

It's because out-of-towners think it's cute to call it "Cali."

I've lived in California most of my life and I call it "Cali" all the time. I think Tupac made that term popular with the song "California Love". I believe he was from here too.

Hate the term! And you're right, it's mostly visitors, who think it's it a " cool" term

We don't live in California, we live in the State of California. California is a town in Colombia and any of 20+ other towns and municipalities around the world with that name.
