Hello, I work in a Casino on the Oregon coast as a poker dealer. It has been OK here but the winter is slow and I am getting something like cabin fever.

I am thinking of moving to the Oceanside area or Temecula because of the job possibilities there. Does anyone have any information or suggestions for me?

Any reponse will ne appreciated.

Those are two pretty different cities. Yes, they're both suburban, but Oceanside is by the ocean and Temecula is inland and hot and much more family orientated.

Suggestions would be based on your price range. There is a a casino in Temecula though, I forgot the name. I can think of Moron-go, San Manuel, and............................................... .................................................. .......................OH!! PECHANGA! I held down the period button while I was thinking. Pechanga is the one in Temecula. The other two are just other ones we have in SoCal, but you don't want to be anywhere near Morongo. The only time i went there was to go pee before i went in my pants on my way to Palm Springs. If you work at a casino in OR, you should rent in Temecula and get a job at Pechanga. Meanwhile, search for a full time job that you can turn into a career. In SoCal, you need to live where you work since traffic is bad, so working at Pechanga and living in Temecula would be the best thing. Oceanside would make a horrible commute.

By looking at Google Earth, there is another Casino/Resort in Pala, CA, a few miles south of Temecula. It would probably still be best to live in Temecula. Find a rental on the south side of the city.

Also, why not try Vegas. I have two cousins living in Vegas. One was studying to become a doctor. He graduated I think. But, he was barely making money at all in his practice, and his brother, who worked as a valet at one of the hotels, was making more than he was as a doctor. So, the doctor quit, became a valet, and is now back at school doing something else that I forgot. My grandparents live in Vegas, so every summer, once I'm old enough, I'm going to try and live with them while working at a casino there, hopefully as valet or bell hop (I'm only 15 now).

What part of the Oregon Coast? The only casino I know of along the coast is The Mill in Coos Bay, OR.
