Greetings, all. Moving to SD soon and could use a little help from afar on what's probably a somewhat esoteric question:

We are looking at renting a condo on 3rd Avenue near the corner of Pennsylvania and are trying to figure out how loud/pervasive the ambulance noise is in this part of Hillcrest since we're not too far from two hospitals. (I'll be there to see the unit in person, but only for about 30 minutes in the morning, which may not be long enough to get a good sense of all-day noise.) I assume ambulances use 4th and 5th to get downtown from the nearby hospitals? Or do they use 6th?

And I assume this is far enough north of the flight path to avoid serious plane noise? That part I'll probably be able to tell when I'm there, but figured I'd ask while I'm posting anyway.

Thanks!

I lived there for a couple of years about 15 years ago and don't recall ambulance noise being an issue at all. And yes, you're North of the flight path so the planes aren't bothersome.
