It is rumored that the Justice Department is getting involved in this case. I think that will only be helpful to understanding what happened before the video, if that makes any difference. Incidentally, the victims records reveal that she was not drunk or on pills. That is consistent with reports that she had not been taking her psychiatric medications. Both cases, this one and the one in Ferguson are quite revealing about how complex cases are adjudicated. I think Echo's points are as valid as anyone else's and it remains to be seen if justice is served.

it's a very sad commentary on the times we live in where a sworn officer beats a woman on the side of the freeway. I think his termination is redemptive for the system he used to represent. Good riddance.
