I was wondering if anyone knew where if any there are Irish communities in San Diego, zip codes are easier for me to research, but area names/streets are good too...thanks

None that I know of...I know lots of Irish people in SD, but they live all over.

You may want to join the 'House of Ireland' at Balboa park if your interested in finding other irish folks....that is one of the most active houses at Balboa (they have a different house/club for lots of ethnicities).

SD doesn't really have european ethnic enclaves like a northeastern US city might - aside from the Barrios and some Asian areas, San Diego is pretty diverse and mixed.

There are a couple Jewish neighborhoods in Del Cerro, La Jolla, and the College Area, a Somali / African refugee area in City Heights, a Philipino area (Paradise Hills, National City), Vietnamese & Southeast Asian (Kearny Mesa, Mira Mesa, City Heights) There's also a small, aging German enclave in Kensington, Brazilians at the beach, and the oft-rumored "little person" enclave on Mount Soledad.

The nearest Irish community I can think of is in San Francisco. But that's 500 miles away.
