Default any experiences w/mission valley apts or condos?

Has anyone here ever rented or know anyone who has rented an apartment or condo in any of the mission valley complexes like the Lido, River Front, Promenade, Missions at Vista, River Run, Archstone Mission Valley, etc? Are these places ok for la ate 20's something couple with a 3 yr old? The pictures I see online of these places look wonderful of course but we all know thats now always the case so i just want to know what these places are really like and if they are decent places to live?

Thanks!

It's fine. Safe, decent places. Large complexes.

is it like party central b/c of the close proximity to the college(s)? Id hate to be stuck in a lease and then get no sleep b/c of all the drunken college kids in my complex

It tends to attract young people. There are no schools, parks, or hospitals in Mission Valley, so families tend to end up in more established residential neighborhoods.

I live in Fashion Hills, the condos right above Fashion Valley Mall (City Scene). When hubby and I first moved here, there were mostly retirees or USD renters. However, condos are now starter homes for many, including us, and now there are several young families here. We have a two-year-old and will probably have another in a couple years. We sacrifice having a yard, but the pool helps make up for it.
