" ... A few showers could continue into Saturday morning ... " means you'll have high probability of watching your son pitch.

Maybe, MAYBE, we're starting to see a change in weather patterns. I read where some "fish blobs" out in the Pacific could mean that the weather will switch over to being rainier this winter. Even if that isn't the case, I'm all for this storm (well 95% for this storm - - I'll be cursing its existence on the commute home ).

If we get one more big one next week we'll be where we should be.

Wow, Peppa Pig (my kids) was just interrupted by the annoying weather advisory buzz warning about flash flooding in SW SD County. I haven't heard that sound in quite a long time. Being from Texas, tornadoes immediately came to mind... RUN FOR COVER!!!!

Most of the rain that falls on San Diego eventually runs off into the ocean, unless someone collects it in rain barrels. There are a few local water districts that rely on groundwater, and they are no doubt grateful for these late rain storms which (hopefully) replenish their groundwater.

But, we'll still be lacking in the Sierra snowpack.
