The attendant at my local Costco said he got a call to raise prices just today...four times! How can prices go up four times when the cost of the gas was already established when they bought and delivered it? More traditional price gouging for gas in SoCal, nothing new.

LOL wow guys..... that's insane. It wasn't too bad when I was out there for 4th of July. Prices here in AZ haven't changed much since. This is more price gouging at CA pumps.

The California fuel blend isn't sold anywhere else. CA is cut off from the gasoline market of the other 49 states. Couple that with the silly global warming "cap and trade" back end tax on producers that started in 2015, it isn't worth selling gas in California.

Imagine this a "global oversupply" and yet CA prices rise when everyone elses are falling. CA manages to waste money on essentially nothing.

Gas prices are as high in CA as when Oil was $130/barrel. Now its $50 ish a barrel and yet prices are the same. Why, global warming tax and closed market for a fuel blend no one wants or uses elsewhere. You realize that with the global warming cap and trade that exists no where else, producers actually make LESS money on CA gasoline. There just isn't any incentive to produce other than the bare minimum.

There is literally no benefit to continue using the CA fuel blend when modern cars are so efficient. CA drivers are literally burning money for nothing.

The disparity between CA prices and the rest of the country has never been higher, and there is no benefit for it.

Drivers should really pay attention to the fact that disparity between what CA gas prices are like and the rest of the country have never been greater. It is all due to unneeded and non-beneficial gas blends and cap and trade regulations. Literally burning money for nothing.

Imagine what our gas in CA will be when we start seeing 90 dollars a barrel again.

I don't recall hearing about anyone literally burning money . I think you mean practically.

Also, for those of us that have Flex Fuel, E85 is at 2.79 as of today at the Pearson petrol station on El Cajon Blvd. Being its down the street from my work, I think I will start filling up with the Ethanol again.

Nothing makes my blood boil more than this. The fact that no politician will take on this gouging is even more infuriating. The oil industry is mad about having low gas prices for much of the spring so they'll make up something to get that money back. It's complete bull****.
