I'm saying most fans here in San Diego are of lower socioeconomic Standing, not just Raiders Fans. The average fan can barely afford to buy a ticket here. The ones that can afford season passes just end up selling them to Stupid Transplants that switch form Charger fans to fans of wherever city they are from.
When you have a 800k mortgage+Mello Roos the last thing you're thinking about is, season tickets to the Chargers.
You have uniformed people spouting off "I'm not building a stadium for a billionaire" when the Spano's are not even close to being Billionaires.
Spano's net worth and money is tied into the value of the San Diego Chargers.

Interesting question.

This is all academic as the Chargers are moving to Los Angeles and the Raiders will be moving to Las Vegas.

I don't follow pointyball, and I live in San Diego. But all of a sudden, I am an LA Chargers fan. The city has been wasting our money. I'm happy for the Chargers. Go, L.A. Chargers!

I love their branding, too. Can't wait to see their uniforms (unless they've released those too. IU wasn't aware).

i hate for most of you to be sad and lonely without pro football. having a pro football team is like a fine looking woman coming to you with open arms. dont know if the Padres being only pro team left will help keep SD major league strong.

I take that back about the Raiders. I just read an article that says the Raiders will be staying in Oakland. A group headed by Lott will build a new stadium in Oakland for them. The majority of NFL owners are against them moving which kills any move

Can you post this article John? That may be old news (when compared to the relocation filing in the last couple days), as Lott's group has been talked about but no concrete plan has surfaced from what I understand. Lott's group is going to want a piece of the team though, you can bet on that.

I can't find the article right now. The article was pretty recent.

In any event, the move requires the approval of 3/4 of NFL owners. The majority of owners are against the move to Las Vegas because the media market is 42nd in Las Vegas vs 6th in Oakland.
