I see this type of behavior once a day. I love when a person has their blinker on to get over and no one once to slow down and let them get over
Ok, well I wasn't there so maybe that was the case. Just sayin there are several ways to let people over, and since they aren"t obligated to slow down many will speed up to get past you.
One thing that annoys me is people who match your speed and drive in close proximity for extended distance for no reason. Hey I got enough friends, don't need more.

AFAIK no cites are ever issued for less than 5 over, and in fact most LEO will never cite for less than 10% over. 10% is the threshhold for allowable speedometer error, you can have a cite dismissed in court if it was less than that because such an increment is outside the resolution of your auto's telemetry equipment.
I rode my new at the time 1982 honda CB900 from Miramar where I was stationed to Twain Harte in Tuolumne County, my home town. That bike was smooth and fast. Distance 446 miles. These were the days of 55 mph and I really tried to keep it legal. i got THREE tickets in one day, the slowest of which was 62 in a 55 just south of Las Pulgas rest area. (funny, after the citing officer pulled away, a rattlesnake came up from the grass and took a strike at my ankle! Good think I had my boots on)
The other two were on 99, much more heavily patrolled than 5 but Tuolumne County stretches to the high country and 5 takes you too far west.
That cite for 62 in a 55 was a gimme. i was going 85.

Pretty much never. If you do that often, you might want to reconsider driving.

DUI I admit is my hot button. As an ER ICU RN I see it...typically people have been driving impaired for years before they are caught either by being observed or being in a crash. My position? Caught DUI. You never drive again and if you do you go to jail mandator 12 years.
