Wink Any JEWISH DELI or IMPORT EUORPEON FOOD stores in SD or Southbay??

Looking for a Jewish Deli and/or Store with Europe Imported food items. Like Pastrami sandwich on Rye with dill pickle. Also Polish Sausage/Kielbasa/Kolbasz (hungarian). You get my drift. Know of a German Deli that was yrs ago on Pearblossom Hwy east of Palmdale Ca but is far away. They made a sausage that was to die for. Any LOCAL SD places????? Thanks, Stefhen

There's a deli called European Deli on Lake Murray at Dallas Street. Its run by ethnic Russians, not Jewish. There is a Jewish deli run by Orthodox on University on the La Mesa/SD line-don't remember the name tho. There is also a NY style deli called City Deli on University and 5th in Hillcrest

I don't know of any Jewish deli in the South Bay. There was one, Merkl's, but it recently closed--too bad because it was very good. Most So. Bay people go up to DZ Akins for this.

The place you are looking for is TipTop Meats in Carlsbad. It is off the 5/Palmomar Airoport Road. Behind the 7 eleven, a little further. They have imported German groceries & beverages. Check the dates on the back of the product.

There are at least three Russian/East European Deli's in the city. They might have what you're looking for.

Lake Murray St & El Paso St in La Mesa
Regents Rd & LJ Village Dr in University City
Alta Carmel Ct in Rancho Bernardo
