homes in the sycuan area are beautiul!! You cant go wrong with bonita, but the prices havent come down too much there, and eastlake is great, but mello-roos and more fees, like H.O.A (yes even houses pay them in this area)so if you dont like to pay additionally to your mortagage payment, I would stay away from east chula vista like otay ranch/eastlake.

I grew up in Coronado and now live in Fletcher Hills in El Cajon.

I think the center of El cajon has alot of issues still. But if you look at homes in the hillside, like Fletcher Hills, Granite Hills or Mt. Helix you'll find wonderful homes and good schools. The center of El Cajon has some shady characters and not so good schools.

I seem to notice quite a lot of foreclosures, especially if there's houses around.
